So, My University's Trying to Make a Guinness World Record

I got to Millersville University (http://www.millersville.edu) and for homecoming (http://mu150.millersville.edu/event-details.php?id=42&page=2&) this year, we're going to try and break the world record for the most people who've ever sung "Row, Row, Row Your Boat" together in rounds.

Why?

Well, E.O. Lyte - who wrote the song, is an alumnus.

Is this not lame or what? The only reason we're doing it this year, as opposed to any other year, is because it's our 150th Anniversary (http://mu150.millersville.edu/)...

The Guinness book of world records has gone all crappy.

Yeah, I know.

Our football team sucks; we lost our homecoming game last year... hardly anyone is going to be there... I have to be there, for my university paper, but still, it's lame.

largest cirle jerk would certainly be more intesting if less likely to make it into print.

Heh.

I can think of sillier and less graphic things to do for a world record.

World's largest Pie fight?

*ponders* Would the world's largest pie fight have to have gigantic pies, or just lots of participants and ammo? Maybe both?

The answer to all 3: I really don't care.

Solved.

Its sad these days that the Guinness World Records, involve drinking no Guinness at all, and people will do anything to get there name in a book

Yeah, true that.

I just wish if we were going to do this for the guy who wrote the song, an alumnus, no less, that we'd freaking do it without motivation by our anniversary year. :headbang:
