It is. You just have to register at the site (free) then go to the download page. They have lots of skins available there too. Litestep is nice, I use it sometimes. Very customizable.

Yes, yes, Litestep is free, but it's laggy as hell. I wouldn't recommend getting it.

I used Litestep on a Pentium (166mhz) and it didn't lag at all. Less than Explorer, actually. You must be running a lot of background programs or services.

No that's why they have different last names stupid.

And I was using it on a Celeron under WinXPHESP1. I didn't have that many background processes running. However, trying to run ANYTHING on it was a pain, notably Office and Dreamweaver, the bigger programs, although even the littlest programs, such as AIM, would be lagged horribly. I uninstalled it. It was too much of a pain in the arse.

Erm, LP, her whole name is Ivana Humpalot Bumpalot, but the last name is left out in jokes for a more amusing effect. They are married, y'know, so they're related by law.

That's interesting, nothing like that's ever happend to me. Perhaps I got a later version than you. Have you tried a recent copy of it?

I tried LS about four months ago, before I got my computer wiped and my settings were reloaded. I'm NOT going to do it again, and I'm trying to maintain my computer. I don't want it falling apart again, and no, LS had nothing to do with needing to reformat.

K thanks all. Yeah, Litestep intrigued me...I've tried the trial version of DesktopX, it sucked. I just hope Litestep has an uninstaller.
