How come Bush is the only ***hole to declare war on terrorism, and since then, terrorism has doubled?

But 3 years later he is asked if the war on terrorism can be won, and he said that he'd doubt it could be won...

Reagan declared a 'War on Terror' (Don't you remember '81?) Mostly, as Bush has done, he declared it to drive home his reactionary agenda, except the terrorism of the Reagan Administration was in Central America, not the Muslim World.

Central America (Nicaragua and El Salvador inparticular) lost tens of thousands through American Terrorism in Central America.

Did you forget all of the embassy bombings during the Clinton era? Do you remember the USS Cole? I can continue, but I'll stop there. Don't believe all of the Democrat soundbites you hear.

Terrorisim is an idea... You cant fight an idea. You can do all you can to try to not make the idea suitable to the terrorists... but the only real methods of doing so are far beyond our power. And trying mearly generates more hate, leading to terrorisim. We are fighting a futile war.

Sort of like the embassy bombings of the past three years, the bombings of western targets in Saudi Arabia, Jakarta, Bali...find a comprehensive list from any reputable source (there was one I had a link to but I can't lay hands on it this instant) and you'll see how the list just explodes after 2000.

In fairness, the Bush administration isn't directly responsible for the Palestinians, who are responsible for a fair chunk of the increase.

America has never been as corrupt and as dangerous to the world and its own people as it is now under Bush. He lies to the American people to invade Iraq. As the Nazi leader Goebels said, if you tell a lie enough times people believe it. So many American's believe Bush is doing the right thing, they don't know him and his family as tied to the military/oil industries, earning billions from the sacrifices of the people they sent to die. Look at the rest of the Bush family, and which businesses they sit in. Look at the business where Mrs Cheney sits on the board. To the rest of the world, the parallels between America, nazi Germany and any corrupt 3rd world dictatorship are alarming. Rampant militarism, an ignorant people (the Germans voted for Hitler - all nice people I'm sure, same as the Bush supporters, but their ignorance leads to disaster. Look at how much Saudi oil money bankrolls them. America makes itself vulnerable because the Saudi's are the most hated midde eastern regime, and America supports them militarily. Most of Al-Qaeda are Saudi dissidents, how Bush got away with invading Iraq when they had nothing to do with this is amazing. Not any more of course, Iraqi's are getting a nice taste of killing Americans.

American's inform yourselves for gods sake - your press freedom is being eroded (you're now below Benin, and most Americans still think they are free! see http://www.rsf.org/article.php3?id_article=8247). You've still got a chance to put an end to this disaster you've created.

Yeah bush is not responsible for Palestinian bombing, but US politics is for putting jews in palestinian territory that did nothing but invade the rest of Palestinian lands.
