Censorship exists in America!
It seems that they are going to stop airing Gundam SEED. The FCC, not satisfied with butchering the first half, has apparently decided that the second half shouldn't be shown at all.
SEED off CN for now
If you haven't heard it yet, it's been confirmed by the pundits at Toonzone that Gundam SEED will be off the air after the October 16th broadcast of "Moment" (episode 26). Starting the week after, Rurouni Kenshin will begin airing in its timeslot on Cartoon Network. Apparently, CN only ordered the first 26 episodes of SEED for the time being. For now, it's unknown when the rest of the series will air.

This is why I download anime from bit torrent sites. It is pure and whole, the only modification being the added English subtitles. I refuse to watch any anime that has been dubbed and out on North American television.

Dammit!
Dammit!
You can thank the government for this, SP7. I know how you feel, but apparently the FCC doesn't think anime fans can handle high-quality TV very well.
cartoon network is weird like that when they buy rights to air episodes. They only bought the rights to like 30 Lupin the third episodes when theres 100 and something in the series. Beats me though how cartoon network got Lupin rated Y7 with all the sexual innuendo in it not to mention smoking and drinking.

The FCC doesn't think. It just does what it wants because it's run by a bunch of inept a$$holes who believe the rest of us want the same "wholesome" programming that children get...

The government already made that illegal, too.

who ****ing cares whether the government illegalizes it or not Letila? Does that stop ANYONE? The only thing they really crack down on are music downloaders, but still...how many do you think they're gonna get? Perhaps 1% of all music downloaders in the country.

Yeah, especially when people use IP blocking software on their downloaders. It'll be harder to catch everyone who is doing this.

True, but that doesn't seem to be stopping people from doing it.

Well, I could've told you censorship occurs in America; it occurs everywhere.

So? Doesn't it say a lot when the government tries to effectively make watching many anime illegal?

it's for your own good, letila - no one should watch that crap.
Besides, you're helping to exploit poor underpaid animators...
