I know what Cobalt and Thorium are. But what exactly does the āGā signify in Cobalt Thorium G?

No, Well maybe

That's how Wikipedia puts it. But as far as I know they're the only one.

Cobalt-Thorium-G and Balthorium-G are two names for the same thing, aren't they?
Can't say I know what the G stands for though...

No, I was in chem class today and looking at the periodic table and noticed thorium at the bottom. Which naturally got me thinking about Dr. Strangelove. I was thinking about watching it earlier that day.
It's half-life is 93 years.

In any event, im not sure if i believe 93 years, Thorium230 has a half-life of 80,000 years, its not as long as Uranium238 (4,510,000,000) but its a damn sight longer than 93, i cant see it being that low.

Maybe they're using a different isotope. Of course mixing it with cobalt may effect the numbers as well. Maybe that's what the G is fore. Which still begs the question, what is G?

I think Cobalt Thorium G could be classified as a compound and not an element. Maybe I should watch the movie again just to make sure.
