Just got the bits for my new computer today. I am VERY happy.
I bought a Pentium 4, 3ghz.
A Radeon 9800, 256mb
And a new motherboard, since the old one was for a Celeron :P

Of course, I am now totaly bankrupt, with no money to upgrade my sound system >_<
Thankfully a good set of speakers is in the $60 range, instead of the 300's.

right on.

plan on OCing the crap out of it?

i bought the 2.4 P4 when it first came out, i have two sticks of OCZ 400 512mb, i only have the raedon 9600 pro (128) - oh well. Ive ahd mine clocked at 3.02 since ive had it, no problems yet. Heat seems to have stayed fairly consistent with the help of an Antec Magnetic Tip Drive fan. im on the ABIT IC7-G mobo, i wish id gone with an ASUS or something else though - i havent been entirely satisfied with it.

what type of mobo? Ram? etc.

*DAMN*
Problem:
It takes a differnt type of RAM chip.
My current RAM chip is a SIMM, the new motherboard takes DIMM.
*does his angry dance*
Well, its only $50 more...time to bum my parents for money >_<
