What do the books of DAF de Sade (yes the Marquis de Sade, Hero of all SM freaks) do to you? Do they make you angry? Do you think he was rightfully put to jail for that? Did you want to read the rest of 120 Days Of Sodom?

the s&m parts are sorta titiliating at times, and just nasty at others. the long passages of 18th century rationalist philosophy taken to its most extreme can be fascinating but all to often is repetative and really boring.

Some of his shorter pieces are moderately entertaining.

I consider him to be a great philosopher into the nature of sex, love and human relations.
Regardless of weather that was his intention.
He is an embarassment to all anarchists. I almost considered giving up anarchism when I learned he was one.
