Well most of the germans are just happy that we were able to rebuild our country that fast. In fact we have other problems than sending our children to death. Germany isn't the war monger nation it was in the past. We are a Federal Republik, that is in fact quite pacifistic. Even if our leaders would like to go to war, the majority of our population would protest against it, till we got our troops back home. And because of our constitution we are not allowed to start a war. We only may defend our country. That's the reason why germany mostly rebuild country's and often prefer sending money than troops.
