Everything I needed to know about GM I learned from it. Keep Patrick Zala out of your soybeans!

To be honest, I haven't seen that much anime, though when I get more money, I'm going to fix that. So far, I've seen:

Trigun (Definitely my favorite, big influence on my politics)
Cowboy Bebop
Gundam SEED (big influence on technology views)
Inuyasha
.Hack//Legend of the Twilight Bracelet
Princess Mononoke
Spirited Away
Metropolis (big influence on technology views)

I've also seen a few episodes of various others, such as Dragonball GT, Yu Yu Hakusho, Vandread (which is definitely my least favorite), Serial Experiments Lain, Betterman, Crest of the Stars, and Blue Gender.

I agree that most of the stuff on your list is good, recently ive been watching Ruroni Kenshin (post kyoto arc(the stuff they didnt show on CN)) and Martian Susessor Nadesico and i did like the samurai X OVAs alot too ^_^

Princess Mononoke is one of the most beautifully done movies I have seen in a long, long time.

I thought the original Project A-ko was pretty funny, as was Lupin: Castle of Cagliostro.

Bubblegum Crisis and Tank Police were also fairly good.

Kiddy Grade isn't bad. It's pretty good. You'll also like Ghost in the Shell... They do a really good job of animating it. When watching, watch the details at the beginning...

Get the entire series. Watch it, don't bother with Death & Rebirth, it sucks. Just watch End of Evangelion.

its part one of EoE, it doesnt suck, its just that stupid people can't understand it. As the director says "If you cant understand EoE thats your problem"

infact EoE was created because so many fans couldnt understand the "real" EoE in the last episodes of evangelion

Princess Mononoke and Spirited Away were terrible... these were poorly made environmentalist propaganda and made absolutely no sense whatsoever. (Spirited Away is about a pile of mud that visits a hotel and helps a girl who worked there remember her parents' names) Ragnarok is pretty good so far. Akira made no sense but had amazing animation. Record of Lodoss War had a mediocre storyline but decent animation.

Exactly. Last time I checked, that's not even legal in the US. Most anime has nothing to do with that sort of thing.

how about Maison Ikkoku, the single best anime ever? (is that too old for u new fangled- what-sha-ma-call its?)

I am a big Gundam fan - IMO the series is a great blend of sci-fi, philosophical questions, and an epic struggle of humanity

All those RPG-based ones (Yugioh, pokemon, etc) - STUPID!
G Gundam and SD Gundam - those two were terrible screw-ups (IMO) to Gundam. If war is good in G Gundam (War is Peace), does that mean G Gundam = 1984?

There's a new one called Gundam SEED Destiny. Whether that's coming here, I don't know for sure.

That just reminded me of something - I get the feeling that Zeon from the UC Gundam series is supposed to be symbolic of Nazism. My support:

Their battlecry is "Sieg Zeon!" (reminiscent of Sieg Heil)
In MS Gundam and 08th MS Team, the antagonists are tall, blonde ppl (remember Hitler's ideal person being tall, blonde and or Aryan descent)
One of my friends says that the Zeon uniforms look kinda Nazi-ish as well

So, has anyone else seen Angel Cop? It got some rather questionable reviews, but to me, it was the best violent, in your face, action anime I've ever seen.
