my least favorite class ever was algebra and geometry.

though it would have been gym if i hadn't had a kick-ass teacher.

that's the thing: a good teacher can make any subject great and a bad teacher dan make any subject boring and sucky...

I was actually sad to leave 8th grade. It was my best year in Middle School, and looking back there are so many thing's I wish I had done differently. Oh well, we all learn from our mistakes, and glad to say, I haven't made any like that since!!!

Anyway...least fav. subject: Wisconsin Studies. But if you don't live in Wisconsin, then you're safe from that horror!

Although I didn't take it until junior/senior year...pre-calc and calculus (especially calculus). I just couldn't seem to get the stuff in each unit until AFTER the test then I could get it no problem. It became really frustrating.

Oh, you think it is horrible to have Wisconsin Studies? Be lucky you don't have to live in my state, probably the most boring class ever, if you lived here. Nebraska Studies, can't wait for that, sounds fascinating.

High school has been INFINITELY better than middle school so far. As to my least favorite class, that would be intro to music. I'm not into art type classes at all, I just needed another solid, and that's all that was left that would fit into my schedule (I didn't actually sign up for classes until the 2nd day of that semester, tee hee). I hated the teacher, hated the projects, hated pretty much everything about the class, except when we got to watch Amadeus. We watched a movie production of Carmen too, that wasn't so bad, but I still wasn't wild about it. I think calculus would come in a close 2nd, but only because of the teacher. I had the same guy for 2 years (freshman and sophomore; I'm a junior now), and it totally turned me off of math. He didn't even seem to know what he was talking about half the time, and if you didn't understand something, he acted like you were retarded. I practically creamed my pants every time we had a substitute in that class, because it meant I wouldn't have to teach myself that day's lesson.

High school is a lot like enforced torture. At least in college you have a *bit* more freedom to choose what you study... but in college you have to deal with a different set of BS.

Wow, you're experience has been the exact opposite of mine. High school for me has been way better than middle school, which was way better than elementary school, and so on. I hated being a little kid. You never get to do anything fun, and everyone treats little kids like they're retarded. I think they just fail to realize that little kids know how condescending most adults are.

I'm in the 10th Grade and while I was a little scared, it passed over in a week or two. You start to meet people pretty quickly, unless you're going to a 1 000 plus student school, in which case it will take longer. Actually, I find High School to be heavily overrated and really not as amazing or different or what ever as some people make it sound. Classes are tougher, I actually found Latin very tough, although it was my best mark so I guess it wasn't too bad. I guess it depends too on what state you live in and what kind of high school you're going to.

My worst classes were Geometry and Algebra I and II. Awful, awful teachers. Especially for Geometry. The little anal retentive fascist witch wanted all homework done in identical fashion and kept in identical notebooks. And I mean even the color of the folders.
She took serious points off if you didn't follow her little scheme to the T. I failed that class mostly out pure hatred for her.

Anything having to do with math= boring as hell
History classes, usually okay, so long as you don't get those teachers that sound like the guy from those yankee "dry eyes" commercials...But I love history, been taking college level stuff in history since I was 13...though American history always bored the hell outta me...

Least fav class was Calculus! Argh! Headache after headache!

Fav thing to do, Gaelic football! Most brutal, yet fun, sport ever!

Hehe... That's almost exactly what my U.S. History teacher sounded like. One day we had another teacher for a sub, who was about half his age and 10 times more energetic (as in uber-spastic; I'd had the guy for world history, but had gotten used to the other one), and I almost had a heart attack!

Well, last year I was in 9th grade and I took Pre-AP English, Science, PNW History, along with Wind Ensemble, Weight Training, and I signed up for Advanced Algebra……But apparently I aced the entry test and they thought that I belonged in Calculus….That class was hard as hell, made worse by like this like evil women that would perfectly fit in “Tales of the Crypt”……She couldn’t teach worth shit and some of the lessons she didn’t know how to solve, but that didn’t stop her from giving some unfortunate soul a pop-quiz in front of the entire class.....This is the way I will describe Calculus in my experiences………30% Pure Terror, 40% Crying and Frustration, 30% Pure Boredom…I managed to pass that class with a B-….The only good thing that came from that class is a few credits for classes I skipped…..But if you ever have to take it….RRRRUUUUUUNNNNNNNN….But other than the occasional teacher that is a !%@!#%$@ and a slight raise in difficulty, High School isn’t that different from Jr. High…..

I hated Advanced Algebra with a passion. Not becuase I hate Algebra, but becuase my teacher gave us hell. There is a reasion we called her "Bitchmiester". Oral Com wasn't to hot, either. I'm great at rambling on about a subject, but public speaking makes me sick to my stomach. My final in that class was to pick a random topic and give an impromtu speach about it.

Bah. High school's nothin'. You got nothing to be afraid of. You get to choose most of your classes, at least when you're an upperclassman. It's not hard at all, at least not any harder than grade school.

I'm gonna totally agree with this one.

From least to greatest:
Junior High (absolute shit)
High School (JUST AS SHITTY. But college is closer)
Elementary (Back when you're biggest worry was "I got tagged, now I'm it! :("
Tied between kindergarten and college. College is awesomeness personified. But kindergarten...ok, the lowest point of the day was not getting to go on the slide, you got snack time, and you could take a nap in the middle of the day (which is possible through careful planning in college :p). Kindergarted kicked ass.

Honestly, I didn't like high school at all, and I absolutly despise most high schoolers. I'm not kidding, they're some of the stupidest people in the known universe.

College is the shit :p

Now, to your original question...well, I've never been into science or math. However, you're going ot find that who your teacher is will play a MAJOR role. I enjoy government classes, but my senior gov teacher was a complete fucktard. I'm not kidding. I've actually visited my old high school JUST to torment with him. I hated him so hard. But...uh, right, personal vendettas aside, it all depends on what teachers you get.

highschool is all about getting the right TEACHERS

a good teacher makes the worst subject interesting, a bad one can make "the history of nebraska football" dull.

find out who the best teachers are, esp in the subjects you arent strong in, and find a way to get into their classes next year. its way worth the effort.

You thought Junior High was that bad? Why? I already like middle school way more than elementary school, moving from classroom to classroom seems to make the day go faster. Kindergarten was okay, but I was really shy and didn't know anyone so it was kind of miserable. I suppose I would have had more friends if I would have talked a little more. One girl in my class even asked me if I knew how to talk.

Physical Education. It blew.

Religious Education a close second (Catholic School)...

And after that, Music. Not that I hate music itself, quite the opposite, but the classes mostly revolved around everyone discussing how "good" blink-182 were. Ugh. We never played any instruments in it. It was a good waste of time though.

and you could take a nap in the middle of the day (which is possible through careful planning in college :p)
