After watching a programme on UK documentary about life after a nuclear war, I know i do not want to survive...if i did, i would end it myself.

It was a horrific programme portraying possible life after a nuclear holocaust I for one know i dont waana see it in reality.

Yes, but the fantastic thing about a nuclear holocaust is that it is pure speculation, hell, it could be great afterwards.

famine, cancers, looting, death, no tv, internet, living in rubble....if thats great i wanna know your idea if hell :-p

The only plus side might be the mutation in the gene pool!!!

I'd stay for the looting and desperate women, but I'm sure it'd be hellish enough to necessitate a quick death after a while.

Oh shit, no TV, guess thats a shit world then.

If cancers are as wide spread as you believe then there is no need to top yourself, after a holocaust there are going to be different levels or area affectation. In some areas you are going to be screwed over more than others.

Me neither, but then again, I wouldn't want to die either. I'd take life over death any day, no matter what the conditions.

No one wants to see the end game of Nuclear warfare, but were I to survive, I would find it a great oppertunity for the world to start fresh. Alright, ahbet glowing at night and being awfully cold and cloudy....but you could help people come back from the brink. Maybe a better world. Maybe a nastier one. We'll see, and only God knows.

It would prolly take a few thousend years to get back where we were, and then BANG nuclear war again.

If nuclear war broke out, we'd all be dead. Trust me, there'd be few survivors, except those crazy enough to build shelters. Really, though, global nuclear war can't happen because of their very presence. If a bomb goes off, it'll likely be a one-time event caused either by terrorists, or by a rouge regime.

Well, nuclear war would be fine if humanity was in space. Know why we are stuck on this planet facing nuclear annhilation? Because no one is willing to take the risk required to push humanity far enough into space to escape our natural destructive tendencies.

Correction: Nuclear war wouldn't be 'fine' in any scenario, but at least it wouldn't annhilate all that humanity has worked for thus far.

On another note: By the way, would anyone like to ally with my newly formed dictatorship of a nation? In my nation emphasis is placed on civil rights and the economy (a balancing act with favor towards civil rights) while stifling so-called democratic forms of government (aka voting) in favor of having leaders who actually are intelligent rather than demagogues who buy their votes and sell whatever intelligence they have in favor of corporate media influence.

Let's take a page from Fallout and build a giant underground vault. Then, we can stockpile food, medical supplies, and weapons. :)

Sorry, I don't have any serious comments to add at this time.

I'll find it fascinating. I would love nothing more than to visit Disneyland and not wait for the lines. That is, of course, considering the employees are still alive and willing :D

Well personally I think a world wide nuclear war would be great! As long as there are some survivors.

This world needs to just drop everything and start over. New nations, new laws, new economic systems not based on the trust of foreign nations. I'd think life would be great! No more boundaries... TRUE freedom. Pioneering and settlements. Everyone has a chance to make a great name of themself.

People will finally have the chance to seek out new land and start their own countries and ways of life. Who knows... maybe the second time around would be better.

Anyone agree with me?

Hey, I don't know about you, but I'll be fine deep underground in Pennsylvania.

Do you live in Pennsylvania? I do :)

By the way, the Disney Land without lines idea wouldn't work. If Disney Land didn't have lines, it would take either a feat in efficiency, or else there wouldnt be enough customers to support the amusement park and thus it would go out of business. Besides, wouldnt the shock waves from nuclear war end up destroying the rides? It might not, I'm not aware of such details.

I would want to live in it (assuming I wasn't horribly poisoned by radiation, in which case I'd die soon so it's irrelevant, and I wouldn't consider myself a "survivor"

Anyways, I wouldn't mind at all, assuming I could find people to get along with. Not EVERYTHING would be dead, many plants and such could survive radiation. They might not exactly be healthy to eat and all....

Maybe it's just because I don't like the lifestyle of modern day society much, so I really wouldn't mind a return to a more primitive state of society.

It would kick ass if there were zombies. Would there be zombies? They have to be the slow stupid kind though, that you can kill with a shot to the head. That would be awesome!

"Ok..take a nap, then FIRE ZE MISSLES!!!!"

I'll sit here and say, I'd make sure I wasn't around - but if it happened. I'd probably still be around...scavenging in the sewers here in Wisconsin.....yup.....just me.....in the sewers....in Wausau....lol. Anyways I imagine life would be insustainable at that point anyways, but if it did - I'd install myself as Primeminister of Canada and make the national food Frozen pizza from Aldi's. Because that stuff is the *hit.

Well considering the fact that I live in Washington near a whole bunch of islands in the Straight of Juan De Fuca, if I used a boat, I might be able to escape the inital destruction.....But the Winter that would follow for years would probably be as bad or worse than the inital radiation toxic......But never the less I would want to survive a Nuclear war.

You guys are all forgetting the most important thing -

after nuclear war it is your duty to repopulate the planet. Go forth and Multiply! :D

I don't understand why everyone thinks that a catastrophic event will lead to a wonderful form of anarchy. Wouldn't it just lead to rule by force? He who holds the strongest weapon(s) and wields the most followers wins... And the rest are put into slavery. Sorry, I just don't see anarchy as a lasting 'form of government.' And it certainly wouldn't be pretty.

Why would we put the NS server deep underground? Why wouldn't we just build a huge underground bunker, hide in it our secret army (aka us), and then use it to sweep the world in the event of a crisis like nuclear war? Naturally it would have a few web servers, but when we can make the game a reality, why would we continue to play the games?

By the way, recognizing the line the french said, the endofworld (http://www.ebaumsworld.com/endofworld.html) animation is indeed quite funny.
