No bounce for Bush?

It would appear that way, much to the dismay of all of you ranting about Newsweek's poll. Here are the numbers:

ARG: Kerry 48%, Bush 47% (Kerry +1)
Economist: Kerry 45%, Bush 44% (Kerry +1)
Leger: Bush 51%, Kerry 47% (Bush +4)
Newsweek: Bush 52%, Kerry 41% (Bush +11)
Rasmussen: Bush 48%, Kerry 46% (Bush +2)
Time: Bush 52%, Kerry 41% (Bush +11)
Zogby: Bush 46%, Kerry 44% (Bush +2)

Some funny things about these polls. For one, the first two give Kerry the lead after the GOP convention. Now, I know you want to say "Those stupid lefties", but both ARG and Economist polling centers are run by people who are professed donors to the Republican Party. Second, Leger gives Bush a 4% lead - the same lead he had before the convention. Newsweek's poll is stupid, at best; taken without any tested method, at worst. Rasmussen gives Bush a 2% lead, a lead that is SMALLER than that of which he had during the convention. Time's poll, like Newsweek, was taken just as stupidly. Zogby gives Bush a two point lead, a two point jump.

So what happened guys? What happened to that massive swing in Bush's favor? Is he ahead in the race right now? Most certainly, but not anymore than he was before the GOP-convention. So let's not fool ourselves into thinking the race is wrapped up.
