The European kind that is, so "soccer" (meh, I hate that word) to our American friends. Which team(s) do you support? And do you play for a team yourself?

That's your opinion on soccer, and mine on American Football. Probably a cultural thing.

Either way, I used to play for my local team, but had to retire due to bad knees. I was a prolific forward, racking up 25-30 goals a season on average.

By the way, has anyone followed the WC 2006 qualifiers from last night?

European Champions Greece losing 2-1 to Albania and the French drawing against Israel, in Paris :D

did you go to the Forest vs Leeds game?

I support Nottingham Forest, still the greatest team ever seen. Oh and World wide allies, Arsneal sre no where near comiung close to equal the pure quality of Cloughys team of 79. When you win 2 Europian Cups, I'll say your almost as good.

No Utd would have won the champions league last season if it werent for the darn Russian linesman. He disallowed Paul Scholes' clearly onside goal in the match against Porto.

Although i dont hate Russian linesmen generically. One of them ruled that Geoff Hurst's "Goal" was a goal. Yay :D

I'm A Newcastle United fan, but I don't get to watch them much because I'm an American :(. Although, that might be a good thing this year as it looks like they're going nowhere, what with the whole no more Woodgate and Robson and what looks like it's going to be a year with a ton of unhappy players.

I know, one Man U fan I thought Andy Cole still played for you, I balive you sold him in the '98 season. Forest are the Greatest team in the world by the way :D

The true mesure is Europe and nether Arsnal or MAn U have come close to Forest unbeaten run including Europe. Even at your hight you where no where near the team Forest where.

Now begins the slow decline until you get to the same place we are.

Aust, you think that Andy Cole was sold in the 1998 season.Do you not remember his fantastic partnership with Dwight Yorke during the treble season. A moment thats sticks in my mind is the pairs perfectly worked goal against Juventus where one passed a ball acrost eh goalkeeper for the other to slide in from around 10 yards away. A great goal, a great night.

He was in fact sold only when Ruud arrived in 2001. A sad moment for all at Utd :(

Living in Yorkshire is no excuse.Do you support Leeds because we re really enjoying Alan Smith here.

Arsenal are a very likeable team who play flowing football, they dont rely on anyone. They have 3 of the 5 top scorer this season: Reyes, Henry and Berghamp and seem destined for the treble and European success. And im a United fna who hates Gooners!

I don't support any pro teams since there are no good ones within a few thousand miles of me, but I play midfield on my high school's team.

I do cheer for Iraq's team though.
