Terrorists captured a Russian school on Wednesday, where 1500 were kept hostage. Whoever tried to escape was shot at,the hostages didnt get anything to drink/eat from Thursday (or Friday?) on. The school was booby trapped and mines were put everywhere. Most of the people were in the gym/auditarium.

Its over now, due to the fact that Russian security forces stormed the school, and captured the terrorists.

300+ are dead as of right now, with 100-200 children among them.

Thats what happens if terrorists arent stopped. John Kerry wont stop them apparently, France backed out, rest of the world (most of it anyway) are way too 'careful'

This proves my theory that terrorists are far too self-absorbed to survive long. It's why most terror groups dissolve and re-form under new leadership every few years. Because they're stupid in one very important way: They don't read 'The Art of War'. If they did, they would have the sense to learn about their enemies. They would know that poking Russia with a stick is at least as stupid as sticking your head into a wood chipper. Russia doesn't beat around the bush about these sorts of things. They have a proven history of overreacting that stretches at least as far as the U.S.A. We, of course, are the kings of overreaction. We started a war because of a sunken warship because it MIGHT have been sunk by Spain. Or it's boiler might've exploded. But we didn't know, so just to be safe, we went to war. That's the U.S.A. The russians make us look SANE!

I assume you haven't opened your newspaper or turned on your television or radio in the last couple of days... this really is not breaking news, this tragedy is all to real news.

As for your comments regarding France backing out from stopping terrorists, I don't really understand, please explain?
France didn't get involved in the war in Irak, that is true. But that had nothing to do with terrorism. The American government tried to make its people think that Saddam Hussein was linked with Al-Qaeda in attempt to legitimise its illegal war against Irak, when of course, Al-Qaeda despised Hussein for his secular regime. However abhorrent and discraceful a regime Saddam Hussein's was, it had nothing to do with the terrorist attacks against USA.

My bad. I just saw the other thread.

Actually, this is filtered by the media that I have access to. Talk shows dont say anything, internet was unavailable to me at that moment, and I never watch tv.

They elected a leader who withdrawed their troops from Iraq because terrorists threatened them. 'nuff said

Could you let me know when this election and French troop pull out occured?? I think you may be getting France confused with Spain here. France never sent any troops to Irak to pull out .

I know he wasn't because of all the intelligence reports and the general historical background. Al-Qaeda and Osama Bin Laden's hatred of Hussein's secular (ie non-Islamic) regime are well documented. George Bush Jnr's government wanted to portray a link between the two to make his war in Irak more pallatable to the public.
Of course, the real reasons for the war are really quite unknown. I could speculate; maybe oil, maybe a personal thing to finish what his father started, who knows!

Actually they proved that their was a link between Al-Queda and Saddam either before or after 9/11 i forget which only the media did not cover very heavily.

They proved the exact opposite! I believe Bush Jnr has even admitted that now faced by evidence that even he would have trouble ignoring: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/americas/3118262.stm

...

No, sorry I couldn't. Unfortunatly the Americans wouldn't let the UN weapons inspectors complete their inspections, so it's hard to know.
However, as far as they had got before they were interupted, they had found nothing. It's also worth noting that to date, still no WMDs have been found.
