Of course, Chris Matthews never rants or raves, in fact, for the last ten years he hasn't been the most obnoxious man on television (you guys who think John Kerry is so cool you want to crap your pants should hate Matthews too because he's rude to everybody, just yesterday he was ranting against Kerry).

According to dueling tradition, old Zell wouldn't have the choice of weapons. So Chris Mathews would be able to pick the weapons. And since Zell is an ex Marine, pistols would be a BAD idea. Chris also would have the option of picking/hiring a champion to duel in his place. If his champion lost or gives up, then Chris would be killed by Zell's second. So Chris could pick swords and hire an olympic caliber fencer to carve up Zell and send that old Dixiecrat to Hell. My money is on Chris for those two reasons.
Zell's anger and insultin-his-own-party's-candidate-ness would implode Mathew's head.
