The house of cards...
It is a reality show type game that you shall never forget!

Now before you yawn... and say not another reality show hear me out... its an ingenious idea.

Here are the rules. Each person who participates in this game will be secretly given (TMed) a card label from a standard 52 deck of cards (ie. ace of spades, queen of clubs etc.). Now all shall RP their presense in a large mansion...

So here is the object of the game. To gather a group of people that will create the highest poker hand. I'll remind those that don't play poker the order again.

Now here is where the catch comes in. One cannot trust anyone... for it is the person who posts the list of five people that gets the "prize" (1 million NS cyber dollars) and he can share it with the people on the list if he wishes or he can keep it to himself. So thus one cant reveal one's card to everybody. One must gather the trust of the group of five so that they may divide the money as is needed. So thus one could lie about his given card to test people... All sorts of intrigue and that sort of thing. Sign up here... and post any questions...

EDIT: And a new added twist I thought up of... The highest declared "hand" (group) will attempt to maintain its rank as the hand and try to stop other from making a higher "hand". Because if another group forms a higher "hand" in one day... the first group doesn't get the prize... But that adds more intrigue into the matter... the first highest hand "member" can also make a pact with the others who are forming a higher hand...

Can I suggest though that we play with a short poker deck, A, K, Q, J, 10, 9, 8, 7, in case we don't get the full 52 people.

(it's 32 cards in that deck btw)

If you introduce more cards though... won't that mean that the new people will have to have the new (lower) numbers?

Post the five names and there is day time limit. When that hand must be beaten or they win! (see the edit)

Yeah... adds more strategy to the game... keeps the newbies segregated and appear to be weak... but then suddenly they might just come at ya with a low straight flush!

And after the 32 spaces are filled... new participants can only be introduced in groups of five...

Nope... Since I know what card each person has... you just post the names.

Then how do other people know if the hand they've collected is better or worse? Or do you just say what you've got (eg, full house) without revealing the exact values?

Well I tell them if its better or worse... When 1 group declares that they ahve a hand and then a second different group does likewiswe... I inform the second group if their hand is in fact worse... and they must scramble to collect a better one...

There's five people... Only the person who declared the hand can't declare it again... The others can still declare a hand!

But you can declare it without being in league with anyone. If you're playing without a team, then you're screwed. Also, if you have a particularly weak card, you're much less likely to get good teammates, so you may have to play solo.

I suggest that you should have to post your 5 guys, but also TM Amerigo (or an appropriate puppet) to say what you believe each of these people to be. You don't have to be 100% right, but It'd show that you aren't just guessing randomly.

Meh we'll see how the first game runs... and make modifications from there... Right now I'd think it should work with the one declaration... per person... It encourages more interaction... after all thats whats the game all about... that intrigue... and backstabbing and waiting to strike...

Nah... it encourages guessing nonetheless... makes things easier... It's hit or miss...

I don't know if they'd agree to monitor an unofficial contest, especially if the nations in question didn't agree to be probed for multiing. Unless you made joining an automatic consent to a scan, but even then...

I would hope not, but of course people will no doubt complain and accuse mods of doing that... so we should prolly stick to forum mods...
