Because he is a moderate and his job is to moderate.

But what happened that was against the rules.

Maybe the fact that your inital post was deliberate flamebaiting in the first place?

And most of the responses were incredibly inflammatory?

It wasn't a flamebait, I posted it as an actual question.

Yes, and your comment that Africans are just too lazy to take care of themselves wasn't flamebait? If you honestly believe that, please, get your head out of the sand, read a book, do *something* to view the world around you.

Why am I responsible for their failure they won't ever help me.

You are not "responsible for their failure," but the point is that, in many cases - neither are they. It is not that they are "too lazy," it is that they live in a system in which they cannot prosper. Now, I could argue that you should want to help the downtrodden out of the goodness of your heart, but if you don't agree, I won't convince you.

I'd like to watch you grow some sort of food in the desert. Maybe we should leave you out in the desert for a month and see how long it takes before you start crying for someone to come help.

We should give him a pair of good walking shoes for his half-a-day-trips to the next spring...shouldn't we? *evil grin*

how's about we offer the misguided thread founder some constructive criticism? the issue of foreign aid is a legitimate and important one, so why don't some of the people yelling at the original poster give him an idea of what would have been a fair and non-flame-bait way to begin such a thread?

You're right on that issue, but I do not want to see his/her fat white pride ass collapse too early ;)
