If two men are getting married, do they both where tux's?

what kind of vows are there?

If two women are, do both fathers go to give them away to each other?

Do they both wear wedding dresses?

I was reminded of this joke:

Attending a wedding for the first time, a little girl whispered to her mother, "Why is the bride dressed in white?"

"Because white is the color of happiness, and today is the happiest day of her life."

The child thought about this for a moment, then said, "So why is the groom wearing black?"

If two men are getting married, do they both where tux's?

I suppose this would vary based on the men. If they wanted to.

what kind of vows are there?

I assume they would just replace any reference to the opposite gender with that of the same, or write their own.

If two women are, do both fathers go to give them away to each other?

[shrugs]

Do they both wear wedding dresses?

Again, I assume it would be a personal choice.

It's al personal choice anyways. Some people write their own vows, some use "traditional" vows. Some people wear white dresses or tuxes, some get married in bathing suits or business suits.

Personally, I'll be marrying my boyfriend one day, but I have already decided that my father *will not* be giving me away, my mother will. It's all up to the people getting married.

Of course, none of the questions have anything to do with a gay *marriage,* they are all about a gay *wedding.* Some people never even have a wedding, but get married.

I'm sure they would both wear tuxes, unless one happened to be a transvestite by odd chance. Being gay and wearing the opposite sex's clothing are in no way mutually exclusive. At all.

The rest I dunno. You will have to expect a non-traditional wedding, since them being gay in the first place is still taboo. You might not be able to assume the fathers of those women would be willing to be a part of their daughter's wedding. The vows would probobly be the same, just with 'bride' replaced with 'groom', or something like that. People should write their own vows anyways...

Dempublicents, I do care. Good luck to you and your boyfriend...

I was simply pointing out the fact that when I marry my boyfriend, I won't do things traditionally, and I'm in a heterosexual relationship. Why should anyone be worried whether or not homosexuals do things according to someone's accepted "traditions," if no one cares if us heterosexuals do things the way we want to?

If a wedding was marriage, then marriage would only last about 3 hours. A marriage is what happens for years and years *after* the wedding. The wedding is just a big celebration.

Because...y'know, marriage is generally happy? Well, unless she's being forced into a marriage, but then I don't expect she'd be smiling all that much...

Holy crap. You post on a public forum, ask for answers, and then get mad when people answer? Maybe you need to rethink this whole posting on a forum thing.

How about you shhhhhh.

If you want to hear peoples responses to your question, then i suggest that you at least 'pretend' to be civil and mature.

Dempublicents - I agree with what you said. You have a valid opinion that was rudely and arrogantly snubbed. (I can only assume that you gave a response that was not what Jhenova wanted. I imagine that they are destined to live a lonely life if they speak to people like this in real-life)

Jhenova - What is the point of asking the question if you are going to be obnoxious when people answer.

Tell me to Sshh. Go for it. I don't really care. I will post in another forum where opinions are actually respected.
