Okie ... so I have kids ...

Some of you may have kids yourselves ... some of you may be kids.

When you become a grandparent, what do you want your grandkids to call you?

I'd like to be called "Paw-Paw", which is what I called my dad's dad.

Anyone else?

Tee hee!

Well, mostly I'm just sick of the "Bush v. Kerry" threads and the "Gays suck ass" threads and the "I will rule the world because ..." threads and am trying to spam the place with mundane chit-chat.

Hope nobody minds.

Well ... some folks will mind ... but unless they're mods, I don't care.

HA!

Any other takers? Grandpa, Granny, NaNa, Big Mama (Yes, I would like my grandkids to call me "Big Mama" even though I'm male) ... anyone?

Heh, I really don't plan on having kids. But if I do, I'll have them call me by my first name. My parents never did that, but I think it'd be interesting.

I call my grandparents by their first names (with the exception of one grandmother.)

So, instead of "nana" or "grandma" I'd just go by my first name.

if i had grand kids i like them to call me " Keruvalia is a fag" that is a great name. Just like some indians were named "crazy horse" i think "Keruvalia is a fag" is great and has a great deal of truth in it too.

Neither did I ... now I have three ... better change your plans. ;)

Just kiddin' ... first name is cool. My great-grandfather did that! He was just "Charlie" to us kids.

It's not that I wouldn't enjoy raising a child. It's more that I don't think I could commit, none the less commit to a marriage. I'd make a bad parent.

presuming I get that far in life to the point where not only I have kids by some miracle, but also they have kids by some miracle, I'd simply like to be called Grandad....not fancy or anything but I always called my Grandad 'Grandad' and it seems fitting. Because its like a name for someone old and wise...which is what I'd like to be eventually.

Oh I dunno ... I never thought I'd be a good parent or a good husband ... turns out I'm pretty good at both.

I always thought I'd have to change who I am and be some mystical creature in order to be a parent or whatnot ... but I am my same drunken, goofy, arrogant, mildly insane self and my kids love it.

Commitment really isn't a problem ... it's like having a small room-mate that you have to cook for. It really isn't that bad.

When I was 18, I swore I'd never live to see 30 ... but that doesn't matter.

Well I don't see myself making it past 30 either....but its nice to think I might have kids before that time in which to carry on my legacy, that is if I develop a legacy in the next 12 years

Nod ... I had my first kid at 25 ... she's now 6 1/2. I hope you make it past 30!

I'm 32 now and hated my 30th birthday, but life seemed to go on.

30 really isn't a bad age. The year I turned 30, my mother turned 50. I called her on my bday to say, "Well, your baby boy is 30". She said, "Yeah, well, you think that's strange, wait until your youngest calls you up to say they're 30".

Kinda put it in perspective.

Seeing as I've got another child reaching that magic age of 18 this weekend and the oldest is now 23 I guess I should give this one some thought. I like the sound of Papa but thats what my kids call my wifes dad and since he's still living I guess I'll settle for granpa.

BTW I'm taking bets on how long befor the Mods take the 'Trash' out.

when i reach that point i want to be called 'Gram' like my beloved great-grandmother.... (here's hoping she makes it to 100) however that will be quite a while cause i as of yet have no children myself.....(nor any nephew/nieces and i'm my parent's fourth Child!)

My friends are making a big deal about reaching 20. I still have to think everytime some one askes my age :D "Age is but a number"

I just want my grandchildren to know me (first of all) and love me and visit me a lot and remember me when I'm dead

Definately Pops or Gramps or something vaguely offensive. Like "you old coot" or "crazy old man", and I'd say "get off my lawn" or "kids these days" or scream "MEH?!??!".

That would rock.

Anybody ever seen the cartoon Courage The Cowardly Dog? Eustace rules. A whole lot.
