The new Liberal Government in Canada.

As far as I can see, the new Liberal government which will take to Ottawa this fall will be as unproductive as it was before the election. The only difference is that it lost a ton of MPs and may have to make an alliance with the NDP (the most wasteful party in Canada's Provinces) and still, they'll be one seat short of the house majority. Hopefully in Regina both Dick Proctor and Gary Anderson will be declined the byelection. Still, I am glad Ralph Goodale was re-elected or else this new government would be worse than the one Mulroney put forth in '88. Paul Martin's image has declined and Quebec, unfortunatly, seems back on the road to seperatism. Provincial Liberal governments are in trouble, including Gordon Campbell and Dalton McGuinty, whom both took over from complete idiots. The image of Liberals seems to be on a drastic decline but in a way, they dug their own trench. They accused Stephen Harper of lying, of being anti-gay and anti-abortion even though he said he won't re-visit abortion, even though the Liberal Media asked him that question a million times on the campaign trail. They the attacked his stance on same sex marriage, even though all he said was his personal belief was that it was between a man and a women. The only pro gay marriage people in that party are Belinda Stronach and some of the old PC MPs from the Maritimes. Every party has anti gay MPs or supporters, it's just the Conservatives have the most. The smear campaign ran by the Liberals and Conservatives lead to a huge increase in Bloc, NDP and Green Party support. This new government will last just over 20 months and then an election will be called in almost two years. Unless the Liberals have a great few years, the Conservatives will win fairly handily and unfortunatly, Quebec may be the process of seperation. Paul, do a good job, or Canada is screwed.

I'd like to see them give the workers at CCRA a break! They are on the brink of striking because the governemt is stingy about giving the workers raises, but they have no problem with giving themselves a 37% raise over the last two years!!

I thought you were a Liberal. You sounded like one in that thread I posted before the Federal Election. My next best guess for you is an NDPer. Am I right?
