Okay, this is a spin off the "What are you listening to" thread. I'll start by posting a good portion of the lyrics to the song I'm listening too...and you guys work on figuring it out...then someone else can post after we figure the first one out...

You have to give the name of the song and the band (or at least get really close on both).

...we was hitch-hiking down a long, and lonesome road. All of a sudden there shined a shiny demon, in the middle of the road. And he said "Play the best song in the world or I'll eat your souls." Well me and Kyle, we looked at each other, and we each said: "Okay"

...I think this one is easy...and that's more than enough...

Ooh! I remember this game! Way back when the mods were still friendly, and didn't care if we had word games, and BV's random threads...

Hit me with some lyrics, baby!

...picks up the rice in the church where a wedding has been...lives in a dream...

Waits in a window, wearing a face that she keeps in a jar by the door, who is it for?

All the lonely people, where do they all come from? All the lonely people, where do they all belong?

I'd say a fairly popular band...

....and it's been the ruin of many a poor boy, and God, I know I'm one.

My mother was a tailor. She sewed my new blue jeans. My father was a gamblin' man, down in New Orleans.
Is that enough?

I know, I know. You'll probably scream and cry that your little world won't let you go. But who in your measly little world are you trying to prove that you're made out of gold and can't be sold?

So bring me the blood and red wine for the one to succeed me,
For he is a man and a God--and He will die too.

Hendrix. Are you experienced?

New lyrics:

Well the sun rose on the courtyard
And they all did hear him say
'You always were a Judas
But I got you anyway
You may have got your silver
But I swear upon my life
Your sister gave me diamonds
And I gave them to your wife'
