Personally, lately Hollywood has pumped out a pile of crap to work with but I believe the late 90's provided me with my least favourites:

1. Titanic
2. Mission to Mars
3. A.I.
4. Basic
5. Volcano


I disliked each of these movies for different reasons, some were too complicated, some too stupid, some too cheesy but Hollywood, in my opinion, does get it right sometimes and here are some of my favs:

1. Enemy at the Gates
2. Saving Private Ryan
3. The Pianist
4. Farenheit 9/11 (I know it's a documentary but still)
5. The Village

I know I will get challenged on both but hell, thats why I made this server. By the way, put your fav 5 and not so fav 5. By the way, what did people think of Passion of the Christ. I neglected to see it in theatres.

5 is a hard number to come up with but i can offer a best and worst. Best being Fargo and worst being (the) Mimic.

Good:
1. Garden State
2. Dr. Strangelove, or How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb
3. Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
4. Boondock Saints
5. Phone Booth

(Garden State is the definite number one, but after that it's pretty much a toss-up between those listed, as well as several others I didn't have room for.)

Bad:
1. Billy Elliot
2. Plan 9 From Outer Space
3. 28 Days Later
4. Open Water
5. Anchorman

(Plan 9 From Outer Space is actually worse than Billy Elliot -- critically acclaimed as the worst movie of all time, in fact -- but it's so bad it's funny, as opposed to Billy Elliot, which is just plain unwatchable.)

Best:

1. Donnie Darko
2. Fight Club
3. The Empire Strikes Back
4. Secretary
5. The Ring
6. Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?
7. Death to Smoochy
8. The Man Who Wasn't There
9. Office Space
10. Cat on a Hot Tin Roof

(In approximately that order.)

Worst:

1. Cabin Fever. By far the worst movie I have ever seen.
2. Going Overboard
3. The Last Broadcast
4. Reign of Fire
5. Amos and Andrew
6. Batman and Robin
7. The Matrix: Revolutions
8. The Return of the King. (The old animated one.)
9. American Psycho 2
EDIT: 10. Cabin Boy

(Somewhat more out of order. Cabin Boy is definitely worse than, say, Amos and Andrew.)

Good:

My all time favorite movie would be the Original, Japanese version of The Ring.
Its far more tense then the American remake.

My most despised movie would be any environment disastor movie.
