Ok guys, come on, I despise George Bush as much as the next liberal (maybe even a bit more), but this is just despicable. He was right Monday in saying that we can't "win" the War on Terror, in a set-peice way like we won the Second World War, just that we can make it a tool that cannot be used against us in large part. Now he has claimed "we are winning, and we will win", which, according to parameters he has set for "winning" (Which is making it a tool that will not be used by a large group of people), we are doing (According to him anyway), therefore, we are "winning"

So do the leftists jumping on this quote from Bush scream desperation to anybody else? Everybody understands what Bush meant....that fighting terrorists will be an on going war that will never really have a clear ending. There will be no surrender or a cease fire agreement at the end. Haha, Bush has so got this election in the bag, and the left is really starting to realize it. The right played Kerry like a fiddle with his pushing his Vietnam tour as a central issue in his campaign.

You are right here Sword and Sheild. In a way, we are winning but terrorism will not be totally defeated thus Bush is right when he says that we can't win it as in traditional way, but that we can limit them in their capacity to have a global reach. This, Bush has done which is why we are winning this war but we all know that we will never totally win it.
