What's your view on conspiracy therories and conspiracy theorists in general?

It's very interesting to read the theories. Makes you want to start your own little group.

I don't know about that...but sometimes the government can " cover up" some things they don't want out for political reasons.

Try MGS2. I haven't played Deus Ex, but I don't think you can get a bigger conspiracy theory than the one presented in MGS2.

Conspiracy theories I believe to be true:

Roswell: Wheather balloon my arse. Something happened there and I want to know what. Nurses and generals 'mysteriously' dissapeared if they were heavily involved in that case. Someone is ready to kill to protect the truth of what happened there.

JFK: Oswald was not the only gunman. Gee, I wonder why JFK was assassinated before he could withdraw troops from Vietnam?

Martin Luther King Jr: Read "Who Killed Martin Luther King Jr?" By James Earl Ray - the convicted 'assasin' of MLK. It has everything. Treachery, FBI and CIA coverups, mysterious deaths, you name it.

Dentists: No other mammal in the entire animal kingdom had to endure what we do at the dentists to keep their teeth in tact. So why do we? :D

The aliens aren't coming in black CIA helicopters; that's retarded. The lizard people are, though. The key is to turn your air conditioning way, way up, so it's never above 50 degrees or so, so that their metabolisms will slow down and you can overpower them.

When it comes to conspiracy thoeries, I think Stalin rates pretty high. Near the end of his life, he was paranoid and frantically afraid of Jewish doctors for some reason.

Conspiracy theories I believe to be true:

The first book on Roswell was written 25 years after the incident took place. During that time, much of the accounts from eyewitnesses could have been distorted.

I am still undecided whether or not there was a major government conspiracy behind the JFK assassination. Much of the conspiracies can be disproven. The gun Oswald was said to have used was capable of firing rounds in the time frame of the shooting. There was no "magic bullet"; the reactions of the Governor being shot coincide with Kennedy being hit in the throat. There could not have been shots fired from the front since the front windscreen would have been hit. However, there are still many questions. Why didn't Oswald shoot Kennedy while his car was driving up Houston Street instead of down Elm Street where the view was obstructed by trees? Why was the area around Dealey Plaza where Kennedy was shot cleaned up, thus destroying forensic evidence; why was Kennedy's car cleaned and washed out shortly after arriving at the hospital? Why was Oswald caught so quickly?
It is interesting to note of a memo written by Kennedy a few weeks before his assasination, which can be seen at the beginning of the book "The Killing of a President", in which he proposed to dissolve the CIA.

I don't know enough about King's assassination but I do believe that James Earl Ray was not responsible. Doesn't it seem funny that there were many assassinations during the 1960's and 1970's?

Never mind about that, what about Fluoridation? That stuff is nasty. When I was in year 9, my science teacher told the class that those who dispense fluoride in drinking water have to dispose of their clothes every few weeks due to the fact that they had been eaten away by fluoride. My teeth have been stained since I was seven because of fluoride. I wonder if it has had any effect on my astham, eczema and allergies. If there's enough of the stuff in a tube of toothpaste to kill a person they why put it in the water?

Usually, I can disprove most conspiracy theories . . . the ones I can't are either true, or I remain highly skeptical of them
