Right now, the Boston Red Sox are on an amazing winning streak...meanwhile the Yankees suck. I think the Red Sox are gonna win the AL East. Boston has better pitching, and have been batting really well lately. Not only that, but the Yankee lead is down to only 4.5 games, and they still play each other 6 times!!! GO SOX!!!

Boston better thank Toronto today, they beat those damn Yankees. You guys better watch Toronto on the last series of the season, as they play New York. Why didn't you put Toronto on that poll? Even if they suck worse than Montreal or Arizona and can't win more than two games in a row, they can still make up those 30 some games they are trailing the Yankees by, right?

There's two ways you can look at this question. One is, of course the AL East is still a contest. Every year, the Red Sox get oh so close to taking the AL East, but ultimately they fail. So, you can look at it as the Red Sox always threaten to take the division, so it's always a contest. On the other hand, however, like I said, the Red Sox ultimately fail to take the division. You can say that they're never really contending for the AL East, because they always fall short. So, you can look at it as the Red Sox always end up falling short of taking the division, so it's never a contest. Depends on your point of view. Problem is, most Red Sox fans are so jaded that they normally view it as the latter, not the former.
