I was watching a thing on CNN about Dick Cheney - it says that when he was either a Congressman or Senator (I forget which), he voted against the Equal Rights act, as well as desegregating buses!!!

Well then I guess he just walked into the White House, stuck a paper hat onto his head and declared himself King of The Universe.

You know what? That's not a bad idea. Off I go. :D

...either a Congressman or Senator (I forget which)...

Just wanted to bitch about one of my pet peeves here:

The U.S. Congress is comprised of two houses: The Senate and The House Of Representatives. Yet it seems to have come into common parlance that Senators are Senators, while Representatives are "Congressmen." Hell, I've even heard supposedly well-informed radio hosts berate their callers for referring to Senators as "Congressmen."

Senators and Representatives are both Congressmen!

Just like "media" is the plural of "medium."

No, Gore had the Popular vote, Bush got the Electoral vote. The recounts showed that Bush won, plus they didn't have time to do another. Don't be mad because Bush won. It's not like he's going to win again, so shh.

No I hate Bush actually if you're wondering, I just hate it when people say it was a "vast right-wing conspiracy involving Sweden" you know what I mean right?

damn, you took my answer

and yes, cheney as a senator voted against that. and as secretary of defense, he also said we should stop producing those same military vehicles and weapons that the republican propaganda machine is berating kerry for "voting against"
