Yeah...I kept hoping something interesting and witty would happen at the end.

Was this the "Life viewed by a Cynic"?

If it was, i turned it off after the 3rd picture. I was wondering what was going on...but then my attention span kicked in. The end.

Actually I got a chuckle out of some of the comparison/contrasts in there. I assume that the pictures of Bush, Osama, and Saddam were there to draw comparison, i.e. that they were all alike. I assume that Mother Theresa was to be contrasted with Bill Gates, and that Hitler was to be contrasted with Bill Clinton. Or maybe the guy liked men named Bill.

Point can be taken from the statement that we all live on the same rock. But what is not even concidered is a basic fact of human nature. Humans desire more than anything to feel good about themselves. This can be seen in the behavior of children, seeking approval from parents, then afterward from their peers.

More often than not, however, when one cant find something about themselves that can be exemplified, that desire is manifested in a different manner. In order to feel (if not good, at least better) about themselves, they make someone else look worse than they are. It's the "I might be bad, but at least Im not him" syndrome.

This has been used throughout history as a basis for any number of atrocities. Hitler used it against the Jews to galvanize Germany. The church used it against muslims during the crusades. The Alpha Beta's used it against the nerds in "Revenge of the Nerds".

This is where hate comes from, because if you can hate someone for what they are, you can love yourself, and others like you because you are not them.

::shrug:: Wish I could offer some solution. I have hard enough time helping my son through his challanges in life.
