Hero (The movie)

What were your thoughts on this movie?

For me, I thought it was a pretty good show. There were a few bits that I didnt get (I guess its a Chinese thing, eh?), and some of their special effects were annoying (WAY too many arrows flying around, the martial-arts matrix-style flying was tiresom after the thirteenth time).
I am sure that it was loaded with signifigance that people in non-Asian/Chinese nations dont get, IE: The colors, the water-fighty with Broken Sword, that sort of thing.
But hey, it has a cool army scene, GREAT music, a really good plot, the obligatory sex scene, and everybody dies in the end. Some of them die several times.
Im trying not to give the whole plot away, but:
Basicaly this guy goes to the Emperor, and claims to have killed the three assassins who were attempting to put a premature end to his reign, the movie is mostly about his story of how he (The hero) defeated them.
Then theres some cool sword fighting scenes and such.
Oh...and some caligraphers get massacred.

*SPOILERS*

Actually, hes an assassin as well, he faked killing them so he could approach the Emperor.

You don't seem to have quite an excellent grasp on the movie, but it was an excellent movie on the whole.

The colours went with each story. The red colours symbolized the anger and jealousy of the first story, the blue represented the love/loyalty of the second, the white represented the purity of the true story, and the green represented the youth of Broken Sword and Flying Snow in the flashback. I thought it was fairly straightforwars, though the green took some thought to figure out, but it's not necessarily cultural. I'm Irish Canadian, and I got it alright.

Did I mention that I am REALLY horrible at summaries? Especialy for movies.
So yeah...it looks bad.
I could have written and rewritten it...but that wouldnt have been as much fun.

It was still pretty cool.
