See into the future
See into the past
I gotta tell you what I'm seeing in the glass
Tall dark stranger, knocking your door
Looking thru the window, It's you he's looking for
Don't be acting crazy don't you cause a riot
Stand very still, Keep very quiet

You'll never see the face
Of the man in the window
Heart begins to race
He's the one to spring you a surprise
Aaah, the ripper master of disguise

See into the mind
See into the brain
Try to find the reasons that Jacky's out again
Slipping and sliding don't even try to hide
Just like your shadow, breathing at your side
Don't give into panic, Don't you run an' scream
Aaah, the ripper, haunting all your dreams

You'll never see the face
Of the man in the window
Heart begins to race
He's the one to spring you a surprise
Aaah, The ripper master of disguise

Cold steel, whisper in the night
He'll be at your side, with a smile and a knife
It's seems like dreaming, moving in the dance
The last embrace you'll ever know, The violence of romance
Don't try to run, you'll trip and fall
You'd be a fool
He's right beside you and he can be so cruel

Stand very still your heart is beating like a drum
He turns his face towards you
And the two move as one
And so the mystery continues to beguile
The ones who know can never tell you of his smile
See the faces shiver, see the figures move
How can you see they move so fast
You're bound to lose

-Jack the Ripper,MotorHead.

I really like this song, it seems to describe the Ripper nicely.
Ive always liked the mystery of the Ripper, and have read quite a bit about it.
Anyone else a fan (so to speak) of Jack the Ripper?
Who do you think was the killer?

If you're really into Ripper stuff, I'd seriously recommend you read "From Hell" by Alan Moore. Don't be put off by the fact 'from hell' is a graphic novel. And DO NOT see the movie, as it is pure shitola.
But the book is fantastic. Sure it has holes but for recreating the time and telling a story, as wel as presenting a strong case, it's superb.

Actually, I saw the movie, and while it wasnt greatm it wasnt too bad, either.
It did a great job of showing how gruesome the Ripper got with his last kills.
It also made a neat story about the possible identity of the killer.

Too far fetched, but a neat story.

Trust me, the movie is really shite compared to the book. The book goes into incredible detail about Victorian England and the reasons behind the murders. It fleshes the characters out. The Movie just screws things up completely. For one thing Johnny Depps character isn't in the book at all! that's how far removed the film is from the book.
Get your hands on a copy.

"Saucy Jack, you’re a naughty one/Saucy Jack, you’re a haughty one."

Of interest to you might also be the novel "White Chappell, Scarlet Tracings", which is by Iain Sinclair, of whom those familiar with the work of Alan Moore are probably aware, it deals with much of the same territory as 'From Hell' but goes in different directions with it.

I was expecting The Ripper by Judas Priest:

You’re in for surprise
You’re in for a shock
In london town streets
When there’s darkness and fog
When you least expect me
And you turn your back
I’ll attack

I smile when I’m sneaking
Through shadows by the wall
I laugh when I’m creeping
But you won’t hear me at all

All hear my warning
Never turn your back
On the ripper

You’ll soon shake with fear
Never knowing if I’m near
I’m sly and I’m shameless
Nocturnal and nameless
Except for the ripper
Or if you like jack the knife

Any back alley street
Is where we’ll probably meet
Underneath a gas lamp
Where the air’s cold and damp
I’m a nasty surprise
I’m a devil in disguise
I’m a footstep at night
I’m a scream of the fright

All hear my warning
Never turn your back
On the ripper...the ripper....the ripper

I was expecting The Ripper by Judas Priest:

To tell the truth I was expecting a thread about the very classy bass made by Gibson called 'The Ripper'.

I was expecting a thread about how people take MODs and hexedit their own names into them and try to pass them off as their own.
