Okay, this is just one of those things that is just too goofy not to share. In the bathroom of the store where I work, there's a sign that reads as follows:
Asbestos-containing material may or may not be present in any one or more of the following portions of the building: (1) vinyl floor tile; (2) ceiling treatments; (3) any other asbestos-containing material....
Who would have thunk it? :D

I just found out a builiding at my University has been shut down because they found asbestos littered throughout it; bad thing is, I had class in there for a whole freaking semester!

Its not really dangerous until they try to remove it, usually its sealed in walls and ceilings and whatnot.

That's good to know; I do know - I'm my university's news editor, so, I'm now investigating/writing about it - that when they opened one of the walls, asbestos just poured out all over the place... so, it must be a very, very, very old building.
I think their plan of actions is to demolish the building and just build a new one.

Surely they'd have to remove the asbestos before they can demolish the building safely though. And, if you've removed it, why do you need to demolish it?

The building is more than 200 years old. It's also pretty much falling apart on the inside. It needs to be renovated, and that's how they discovered the asbestos, during the preliminary investigation on where exactly to begin those renovations.
It's going to be way cheaper for the state to fund demolishing and then building a new psychology building than to renovate this one.

Asbestos is sexy. I love rubbing it all over my naked body.

I ate some scampi today from a packet saying "warning: may contain shellfish". Perhaps the warning was for homophobic Christian fundamentalists?

Yeah, but can they really demolish it without exposing the asbestos?
On packet of peanuts: may contain nuts.
Well I should fucking hope it doesn't, a peanut is a legume!

I just remembered that we recently stopped carrying a nut fudge brownie (with clear packaging so that the nuts were readily viewable) that had a warning on the label that said that the product contained *guess what?* NUTS!

What's wrong with asbestos? I put it on my hamburgers.

I understand what you're saying; I think they'd remove it, then, demolish it and rebuild.
