oh my god people, get a fucking grip

its a toy that comes with candy, all it is is 2 buldings as towers to suspend a fricking plane above the base of the toy

there is no pull action lever that crashes the plane into a tower
there is cut off part of the plane sticking out of a tower
the base doesnt say "allah achbar"

GET OVER IT, ITS A FRICKING TOY WITH A PLANE AND TOWERS, STOP BEING SO DAMNED SENSTIVE

if you want to ban this ban ALL legos, if you have enough legos you can build 2 towers and a couple of plane looking toys and ram the lego planes into the lego towers, thats a helluvalot more than this is

I'm saying TOYS LIKE THAT WOULD NEVER BE APPROPRIATE. People would still be offended by a Civil War toy like that even though it happened over a hundred years ago. It is only about three years since the 9/11 attacks, people would be offended. Even if it isn't supposed to be the Twin Towers it looks like it, and that is how most Americans would interpret it.

There appears to be a yelllow button on the side of one tower, and from what I've seen of toys like this it probably spins the plane in a barrel roll or some similar action. Not exactly a crash, but why hang it between two buildings? The buildings themselves, while not exact copies of the twin towers, are two identical buildings that differ only from each other by what appears to be a representation of a radio tower on one and the pattern on the side does give one a feeling of similarity to the WTC. All in all I'd say if it wasn't a deliberate act, at least someone had to be aware of what they had there. But toys are designed by adults, and there are some twisted minds out there. The company may not have been aware of what they were selling in their package, but they're gonna feel the heat now. They're guilty of not being more aware and exerting more control of their product at least.

See, now that's humor. Too worm-eaten to be beating anything...LOL. Hilarious.

Anyway, we're all allowed our own opinions, yes? Why flame someone for voicing theirs? People handle tragedy is a variety of ways. Most do it with humor.

As for that candy...it does remind me of the 9/11 attacks, but I think the reason it was pulled from the shelves was because not that it was offending anyone, but because that was the way people were expected to react confronted with such macabre imagery. If people don't react to something that is labeled as a mockery of the attacks, what would everyone think? Surely we can't go around eating a piece of candy that reminds people of a national tragedy. Well, we could....but what would Willy Wonka say?

Its ironic that some of us westerners are offended by a toy depicting two bnuildings(which don't look like WTC) and a plane (which doesn't look like the jets involved), while our most upstanding toy manufcturers make and sell lifelike models of G.I.Joe, Action Man, and numerous airfix type kits of our planes which are regularly bombing some poor b****rds home.

I'll bet the victims of these attacks aren't worried about toys... just worried about when & where the next bomb lands.
