According to reliable news reports Al Qaeda has declared responsibility for the crashing of two russian civilian aircraft in southwestern Russia.
Al Qaeda said the hijackings were punishment for the deaths of muslim fanatics in Chechnya at the hands of the Russian Army.
Bin Laden declared with much ballyhood that he would destroy Russia, America, Europe and all other enemies of Islam.
Well, Russia's security system sucked anyway.

The fact is - Al Qaeda and Osama NEVER take credit for ANYTHING. Which is why it took so damn long for the FBI/CIA to trace the people back to absolutely pin the Cole on them. It is why Clinton refused Sudan's offer to extradite him in the early 90's - because at that time the US intelligence community did not have sufficient proof substantive enough to make a case stick against him.

A Chechen islamic group "with ties" to Al Qaeda may have claimed responsibility, however the extent or nature of those ties never seem to get discussed either. But as long as they can say "Qaeda" they get to remind the world that the boogeyman (Osama) is still out there...

Maybe they'll just use their nukes on it I mean its much more economical then setting rid of them properly and much safer than selling it to terrorists
