Not ONE of these bands in the current poll are metal bands.

Hard Rock and Heavy Metal aren't the same. And Motley Crue, Quiet Riot, Poison, Slaughter, Cinderella, and Hanoi Rocks ALL belong to a little genre called "Hair Metal". Try THINKING first, THEN writing.

Cheap Trick's style: Hard Rock.

Emperor was the best metal band of all time. bar none. But they're probably too obscure to be included in this.

The Who are the best there....dispite not being either hard rock or heavy metal

Yeah... I'd have to agree. Those two bands definitely don't belong in the same category.

Nirvana-Best Rock Band ever, but not Metal, Grunge Rock.

And Drowning Pool, not old like the rest but still the best.

Man, Nirvana was some of the heaviest stuff. Even the gods of Metal say that it couldn't get much more Metal than Nirvana. And, this is HARD ROCK! Everything that could be categorized as heavy rock. I don't care HOW different their musical styles are, I'll put Bo Diddley and Entombed on the same damn poll.

T. Rex=Glam Rock, which is a style of Hard Rock

The Who=Hard Rock, hands down. Heavy power chords courtesy of Townshend=Hard Rock.

And for all you out there suggesting other bands, this isn't the last poll.

Its Grunge rock. The whole POINT of Grunge was to NOT be metal.

And the most important thing is:

You cannot put Bo Diddley and Metallica on the same poll, becuase that means your comparing the two bands who have VASTLY different styles of music.

You cannot compare that wich has no comparison.

You shouldnt do any more of these polls.

I still say Emperor are the greatest metal band of all time. I also think that some of the "glam rock" bands were so poppy and commercial that they couldn't even be called hard rock at all.
