The 'New Physics' Thread

This thread shall be hereby devoted to 'New Physics,' a "religion" developed by the late scientist Leonardo Vetra.

Newsweek proclaims that it is a surer path to God than religion itself!
Any who wish to join me? :D

(BTW this all stemmed from Dan Brown's Angels and Demons)

So far, I'm reading it and finding nothing particularly 'new' about this physics.

Any links to info on this "new physics?"

New Physics is nothing other than listing facts about the universe and chanting "Only a purposeful creator could have spawned these!" And by the way, if you only here about it after reading a non-scifi book, you don't deserve to start a thread on it and title it official.

so i think that energy waves when accellerated and heated to a phenominal point begin to have a gravitational force. These waves collapse upon themselves leaving a tiny sub atomic particle. The waves however bunch up inside the particle giving it internal dimensions that cause what we know as "chaos theory".

I'm not sure how close that is to string theory... its very highly influenced by it

I always found multiplying infinities slightly more interesting that the chaos theory.

ya, but its the solving of chaos thoeory and discovering the true nature and method to the universe...

simply fantastic...

Like the circle...it has infinity cubed surface area (or something like that...I know I learned it in geometry...but not well enough!)

isnt it something like a circle is composed of an infinite number of triangles?

pie*radiusSquared is hardly infinite.

perhaps you mean there is an infinite number of points on the surface?

You have to read Angels and Demons - New Physics is brought up when Langdon, Vetra, and Kohler are discussing Leonardo Vetra's work.

Btw there is such a thing as New Physics, however I coulndn't find any "good" links on it.

I dont know anything about "New Physics"
However have any of seen what they did recently at NIST in Boulder CO?
They "beamed" the Quantum state of solid matter particles(not light which has been done in the past) from place to another instantly.
They say it is the first real step towards an actual working "Quantum Computer". I was fairly impressed, though I have limited education and this may seem like no big deal to some of you. I think it is pretty cool they might succeed in something like that well with in my lifetime.

as far as i know there is a quantum computer that works on 4 nodes right now

once they get it to 16 it will instantaniously make every computer on the planet obsoleet

Ok well they were talking about qubits-
and instead of hertz they were saying it would use about 80 "entanglements"
Making cruch the largest numbers today 2.3 trillion times faster then current computers.
However they did call this a True Quantum Computer, while i am not well educated I would be interested in a link or a name of the location of this "4 node" quantum computer.
Just contact the physics department at NIST in Boulder Colorado to check what I am talking about.
Since this is the first time matter has been instantaneously transmitted how is this "4 node" quatum processing data on a quantum level, without being able to transfer the quantum state of atomic information the fundamental basis for a quatum computer is not there.
Anyway a link or location, a name of someone I can call, p.o.box, university funding the research, company using the computer?
anything?

I'm not the man to ask about quantum mechanics, as most of my understanding comes from a very good friend of mine. I'll see if i can get a link or whatever at some point
