Beginning at sunrise I will join several thousand others in a day long fast organized by FaithfulAmerica.org to call attention to the plight of millions of displaced Sudanese in the Darfur region. In case you've been living in a cave or like many are unaware because of the lack of coverage most major media has given this, Arab Sudanese militia's have killed thousands of non Arabs and forced most of the remaining into refugee camps where they slowly starve, with the governments unspoken approval and reputedly in some cases, their help. Most western governments have failed to denounce this genocide or act to end it, quite likely because they do not wish to alienate the government of a country with a signifigant amount of oil beneath it.
