My 7th grade geography teacher had us make a nation for class. My first nation was Stupid Freaks. But, sadly, I had to let that one go. Anyway, how did you first stumble across the website?

there's a board there named LUE, it's nearly dead now I'll bet. I was directed to some guy's nation. I was interested and created a nation. 4 days later I was banned from LUE for conspiracy, so I migrated here.

I noticed my cousin playing it, then I asked what he was doing, and he showed me how to make my own nation....Hence came the Orders of Crusaders..(Got the name because we were studying the Crusades at the time in school)

I was lookin at the Civolopedia forums (for Sid Meir's Civilization games) and I noticed a link here in someones profile. My first nation was Cottonisking, now deceased.

Thanks for posting, I was just curious.

A few online friends were talking about it in IRC, I asked, and created my first nation (which is dead, gone, buried, and never posted on the forums heh).

Then, after a loooooong hiatus, I came back, made Goed, and started posting on the forums.

Now I only post on the forums and completely ignore my nation xD

An RL friend told me about the site. He's sitting right next to me in the computer lab that I work in right now.

I found out from the guy who played Sniper Country. We go to the same school. He showed it to me on night, and we created nations together. My first nation was actually Neo Praetoria, that nation died some time ago. I am now left with good old Omni Conglomerates which was named such because I was watching RoboCop. I thought OCP was cool, but I wanted to do my own spin on it.

Friend told me. He ran World Defense. I joined, my region attacked his, his region collapsed, he moved to mine, and the rest is bliss.

A friend in a computer lab had a nation (Myles) and then his friend made one (Hippie Treehuggers). The hippies told me about it since I sat next to him in class. This is my first and last nation I've made.

Found the link on someone's LJ that I was browsing. Signed up, didn't like my nation, and made a better one after a few weeks (this one).

Nationstates? Is that some kind of game?

I was listening to a radio station and someone sent in an email saying that there was this really cool site where you got to make your own nation.

The Atlantic City Press wrote it up in their computer column last Sunday.

I was on a Star Trek forum and somebody said "Oh, this game NationStates is really cool." I checked it out and I like it and I stayed.
