I'm European and have never once been asked to comply with the US in anything, never mind had the chance to refuse to do this. So why are you addressing Europeans in general, when the majority had no say in the Iraq War matter anyway?

It seems to have been a pretty good rorschach test, though, hasn't it.

My attempts to show how the UN (and all extra-national entities) thinks it has pervue over things that can only be dealt with by individual nations, or non-extra-national-governmental groupings [federations - "friendships"] of nations, have gotten my tiny nation of sensible people much scorn, even though we simply call on each nation to respect the culture, nationality and sovereignty of all other sibling nations.

The UN arrogates to itself EXACTLY what so many countries accuse the US of doing..!

The UN is a NATION (in this "game") and acts like one, yet refuses to acknowledge that it is, in fact it's own nationstate, with it's members being nothing more than provinces under the UN's overarching "tyrany of the majority".

To be a member of the UN, I would have to follow rules that are not agreeable to my people and culture.

This would force my culture to change in favor of the culture promulgated by the UN.

That is the definition of forcing a nation toward some "common vision" of what a nation should be. Toward "homogenizing" the world's nations into a "bland whole".

As for the "goodie-goodieness" aspect of the change,.. well,.. simply observe the accumulated legislation (resolutions) of the UN..!

(( Agreed,.. "goodie-goodie" is a peculiar cultural judgement of my simple people,.. but that's one of the nice things about being a real nation as opposed to having to follow the constraints of political correctness of being a province of the UN nationstate. ))
