I watched that current affair thingy (first time ive ever watched it) and they were complaining about some add thing shows kids pashing...but i mean come on...kids nowadays are doing more than that, aren't they!!! Did/do u?

Enitrely depends on the individual. I wouldn't recommend any significant sexual advances until mid-to-late teens, and even then, only with much wariness.

Whenever they get married, which should be as early as possible, is the right age tobe getting intimate. Either way it should not be anyones buisness ,except for there parents, as to what they do.

back on topic, i think it was pretty funny when they interviewed the girl that is in the ad and she said if people are worried about 13 year olds kissing, believe me they are kissing and alot more

Funny this is that there are a lot of single gender schools in England.
Apparently some huge percentage of teenage girls had their first snog with another girl because of this.

From a biological stand point i would say 13.

But most western cultures treat 13 year olds like children. Sorry guys, but 13 year olds are children in our culture. Its how our society is geared.

Have look at India. Children get used like collateral for marriages and slavery-like work conditions ... this is now.

Sex outside of marriage for everyone over saaaay 15 I would say. I can't stand Christians and other faith groups who try to force their beliefs of abstainance on others. The only way I would interefere in the bedroom would be to provide contraceptives to everyone!

Agreed, because I've seen marriage without love, but I've never seen love without good sex! Not that its not out there, but I've never seen it.

I don't think it's wise to assign an arbitrary age to sexual activity as a government policy. Basically, kids should make the decision when they're mature enough to make an informed decision.

On the other hand, any kid of mine would be in serious trouble if he or she had sex or so much as fooled around before 18.

Not bothered when they start, just as long as they stop doing it in public when they get wrinkly....

I'm with Sarzonia. It's up to the individual to decide what they want, not their parents or some politicians who will never even meet them. Frankly, I'm more bothered by hideous-adults-who-think-they're-attractive PDAing then kids.

just wanted to add a thought, do parents realise that their kids are probably going to drink, do drugs and have sex whether they want them to or not, but wouldnt they rather be open about it so their children are going to be more comfortable doing these things at home or atleast a safe environment, rather then have to take larger risks by trying to hide it?

to quote a friend of mine "you cant choose whether your kids are going to drink have sex and do drugs but you can influence where they are going to do them." He knows his 15 year old daughter is having sex and he lets her drink at home but he doesnt care cause she is doing it in her own bed/house where she can yell "stop" or "help" and he would be in there in a flash and would likely kill whom ever it is. he likes knowing that she has this control

I don't know what the problem with sex (and drugs, abd alcohol) is. My parents said that if things felt ok, you could go and trie stuff. I live in the Netherlands, and still I never smoked pot, I had sex at a kind of late age and i never drink drunk. I like to say i landed quite well :D

1st base: Kissing, "snogging", "pulling" whatever you call it. With tongues.
2nd base: Grope and fondle.
3rd base: Oral sex.
4th base: Vaginal or anal intercourse.

That's what I play. As for ages, that depends on the maturity of the person.

I agree that it really should be up to the people involved (not the parents) to decide whether they're ready for that sort of thing. If a pair of 13 year olds start needing contraception, fair enough.
I'd recommend, though, about age 11-13 as the earliest to start discussing sexual matters. And NOT the usual religiously-inspired statement "Just say no until after you're married."

I say they shouldn't pash before 13, or have sex before 18 - with inbetween stuff happening inbetween.
