My Fellow Americans (and everyone else), I just saw My Fellow Americans with Jack Lemmon and Dan Ackroyd, after being forced to. Hilarious. Anyhow, even though it was a comedy, it raised a serious point: Democrats and Republicans can forget that the other is a human being. Their political beliefs aren't necessarily the only thing about them. It's especially important to remember now.

Totally, it seems like to many people around election time let it control thier whole life lol they turn away friends that are oppisites politically and stop going to certain movies or listen to certain music that they used to like before knowing the politcal beleifs of the person(then again when they speak up they know what might happen) .... But I agree total childs play from both sides for alot of people it seems.

That's because those damn dirty Democrats and Republicans aren't human beings!

True, but that's the problem. Politics in this country is no longer about who is better able to govern the nation, but who wins. It's a battle and it's much easier to destroy your enemies if you depersonalize them first.

I'll remember again when the election is over. Until November is the time for partisanship. At all other times we should remember that there is more that unites people than divides them.
