How about not assuming you know what Christians think. Sex is very healthy and important to a MARRIED couple. It doesn't belong on the airwaves, should be avoided before marriage, and shouldn't be encouraged in schools by giving away condoms, but that doesn't mean it's looked down on.

I was a Christian once. I know how they think. If they have so many restrictions on it, then why aren't they anti-sex? Because they approve of it in certain circumstances? That doesn't mean they have truly positive attitudes towards it.

Where does it say, no no where does Christ say sex is a sin before marriage but not after?
I hear it alot(especially from Catholics) but I have never read it.
I have read where it is best to be married for sex(yes for sex, not for procreation, marriage is to exercise a man and womans desires, yeah baby).

What is ecchi?

Ecchi is simply anime/manga that is erotic, while hentai is sexually deviant.

Hentai - Literal definition: Nasty

Dragon Pink is an example of hentai.

Ecchi would be more like kama sutra, where hentai would be pr0n.

Wrong. The correct statement is... "I was a Christian once, I know how -I- thought." Your perceptions are not everyones who claim the same title.

There's a lot of good truth in abstinance. If you can't immediately recall it, I refer you to several things: AIDS, Teen Pregnancy, Syphilis, Herpes, etc... While not impossible when you abstain until marriage (lots of 'circumstances') cut out 99% of the unwanted affect associated with sex, even beyond the physical aspects.

I've always noticed a very positive attitude towards sex. You might have a read of Song Of Solomon, it's in the Bible. ;)

Giving away condoms really isn't the problem. As a teenager let me tell you, most of my peers will have sex no matter what they've been taught. If they aren't taught to use condoms they will just have sex unprotected. Saying "No no, not until you're married!" wouldn't stop anyone I know.


And I think Jesus would use his turn signal.

I seem to remember God telling Adam and Eve something about being fruitful and multipying, which would add credence to the belief that He didn't regard the act essentially sinful.

It's amazing what people "know" about Christians that turns out to be completely wrong. I can't speak for others, but for me, sex is one of the best aspects of my marriage and see no reason why I shouldn't enjoy it.

You know Letila I usually find your post very liberal and open minded.
However, you have no idea how I think just because you may or may not have been in my sect of particular religion.
By your statement logic would dictate that you believe all Muslims think the same, all Jews, all Buddhists so forth and so on. and that anyone who occasioned that faith would have gleaned insight into the inner working of the minds of everyone else in that faith.
The mere fact that you were a Christian and are no longer demostrates you do not think like--ergo do not have a genuine understanding of a person who is still a Christian.
I again, have never found your opinions to be bigoted or closed minded, I hope this one was merely poor wording on your part. You usually state things that I disagree with, but never in anything less then a repsectable open minded way.
