The Best song Ever
What do you think it is? My vote goes to Stairway to Heaven. Or the Star Spangled Banner. Or Back in Black. Or Alexander's Ragtime Band.

I always thought Kashmir was a better Led Zep track, though Back in Black is a great song.
Metallica's cover version of 'Whiskey In The Jar' does it for me.
Stairway to heaven is one of those songs that you hear it so much that you get sick of it, even though it is a good song.
I'd have to say: Under the Bridge from RHCP

This is tough. The songs I might once have thought to be the best ever may not be the same as the ones I think of today, and when I'm old and grey, there may be others I've yet to hear that'd make my lists. Well, here goes my short list:
Slip Inside This House - Thirteenth Floor Elevators
X-Day's-A-Comin' - Bill T. Miller
Something's In The Bag - Barnes & Barnes

LoL, I'm not a big Weird Al fan myself, so I can't see why so many people like him.
You've picked him over Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, and Jimi Hendrix, is he really that funny?

yes he is... anyone who releases a song as a spoof of Madonna or other famous artists is good.
has anyone heard Ugly Girl??? it's a take on Barbie Girl by Aqua. it it hysterical and i fully recommend you listen to it once. if you want i'll post the words.
Beethoven's Ninth Symphony
Definately the best piece of music ever (Beethoven composed it when he was nearly deaf, first performed it when he completely deaf). However, this thread is for the best song ever.
BTW, could someone tell me why Bohemian Rhapsody is a great song. Sounds like jibberish when I listen to it.
I would have to say that "Imagine" is the best song ever.

Yes he is!!! Wierd Al rocks!!! His lyrics may seem a little childish, but thats what they're supposed to be. Just him messing around poking fun at songs.
