I've found a really weird web page, i've done a bit of research and found and number of different theories as to what it might be. i was wondering if there was anyone out there that might have their own idea's

no. From what i have read the big black box that pops up when you go the is, at least in the Halo world, the covenient trying to find earths location. If memory serves me best Halo2 open up with the Covenient attacking Earth.

Halo 2 does take place on Earth. I heard that supposedly, the Covenient has been on Earth before (cause some of the levels take place in caves like those in the last Halo). I also heard that they might be there to recover a halo they built on earth a long long time ago. Or something along those lines. Anyways, the game looks really bad ass.
