We'll begin the negro crime thread as a resource for the many crimes committed by the negro beast. As today is Friday, we'll start with crimes during the past week, to be updated.

Police are seeking a Savannah man who they believe shot his wife and toddler Monday in a domestic dispute on Glynnwood Drive.

Kenneth Telfair Newsome, 30, of Queen Ann Court, should be considered armed and dangerous, said Bucky Burnsed, spokesman for the Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police.

Evidence suggests the couple was in the process of separating, said Burnsed, who did not provide the mother's and child's identities.

The woman was shot three times, wounding her in an arm and leg and grazing the back of her neck. One shot struck the child in the leg. None of the injuries appeared to be life-threatening, Burnsed said.

Chatham County records show Newsome has a history of aggravated assault. In 1999, he was charged in the shooting of James D. Hills Jr. after an argument on Skidaway Drive. He was arrested for another aggravated assault in 2000.

Monday's shooting is a reminder of the extremes that can take place in domestic violence situations, according to a spokesperson for one local victims' shelter....

SANFORD, N.C. -- Authorities apprehended the husband of a Moore County woman whose body was found in the trunk of her car and charged him with murder.

The Moore County Sheriff's Office said Melvin Bynum is charged with first-degree murder in the death of his wife, Marnita.

Authorities said Melvin Bynum was arrested about 9:30 p.m. Thursday in Sanford while he was traveling north on U.S. 421. They say he willingly went into custody and it did not appear that he was on the run.

Melvin Bynum was transferred to the Richmond County jail, where he is being held without bond.

A news conference is scheduled for Friday morning to discuss the case.

Marnita Bynum was found August 2 in Richmond County in the trunk of her car. She had been strangled....

The robbery happened at approximately 11:30 a.m. A preliminary description of the gunman pegged him at 17 to 18 years, approximately 5-foot-5 with a medium build. He was black, wearing jeans and a blue hooded top with FUBU in white on the back. He was armed with a small handgun.
