So in Geometry today we were talkin about somethin, and somehow we got onto the subject of communism. The teacher was saying how he was in the navy in the Cold War and they would shoot day old lunches at russian submarines. I thought that was pretty funny. Someone asked him had he ever been associated with any communist groups, and he said "To the best of my knowledge, I have never been associated with any communist organizations". I was incredibly tempted, then, to say the National Educators Association, or the Teachers Union, but somehow I restrained myself. But only with much emotional effort.

Cool, they had this one time, in like the 6th grade, I took band(I dunno why), but the band teacher openly admitted to being a socialist, and got fired the following year. the school said it was cuz he wasn't teaching us the right way, buti tought"hes been teaching that way for 20 years", so i dont know man, but lookout for principals, cops, and nationalistic American kids who rat on left winged teachers. :headbang:

one problem - unions purged most of their communist members decades ago. but it would have been funny.

Unions communist? Hardly. I don't know where you got the idea that modern unions have an interest in abolishing capitalism but they are way too reformist.

What's bad with reforms?

Some of the more conservative may consider reforms being a 'slippery slope' to socialism and communism.

Unions are slightly communist. They seek equalisation between all union members. Sadly they still want as much money as they can for their members.

They don't fix the root problems. They are bandaids.
