ALBUQUERQUE- Today area couple Timothy Granger and Marjoy Granger-Yuonge gave birth to a 18 inch 7 lbs. 9 oz. healthy baby girl who they mysteriously decided to name Edith. When asked why they named her 'Edith' Granger responder by telling The Foxxinnia,"Well, both our maternal grand-mothers' names were Edith so we found it appropriate to name our first little girl [Edith]." Edith Granger-Yuonge's future has already been planned out thanks to her name. She will do average in school when she will decide not to go to college and instead marry a lower-class abusive husband. She will not get re-married after he dies of a heart attack at 48 and she will work at a deparment store until she dies of a tumor hidden deep inside her brain at 71.

"Old fashioned" names seem to be coming back into vogue with new parents (at least with my social group who are popping out spawn at an astonishing rate right at the moment), after the last few years of oddball "made up" names...

Just the title of this thread made me spew out my nose.
Although if names define our destiny, I should by rights be a bouncy blonde yuppie. Ah, well...maybe there's hope for little Edith yet.

Send them to me.. I need some ideas for my own child, at least some to scare the father with.

Most of them revolved around my last name of Rock.
For instance, my personal favorites included Punk, Solid and Plymouth for a boy. Candy or Moon for a girl.
