Of course, these polls have been done before, and you're going to come out with a plurality (not majority) of Americans, with Europeans behind them (when seperated, on par with Australia, Canada and New Zealand), and then it really tails off with other nationalities.

Sorry, mispelt, Antipodean.
I guess we just use the term in Britain.
I just looked it up:

Interesting. I link that term too to refer to the South-Pacific region (Australia, New Zealand and many island down there). However many Australians here in the forum reject that term, though.
I'm from the US. Wisconsin, more specfically.(I hate the fact that American is used to define people from the US, instead of the Americas in general :/)

I don't see why they would reject it. I personally see Australia and New Zealand as almost one...i mean, theres no more difference culturally between Australians as a whole and New Zealanders than there is between the individual Australian states. The Pacific Islands too are basically pretty integrated with us as well, not really culturally but certainly economically, and there are large islander populations within Australia and NZ. So, we're all basically one family in my eyes.

If by nationality you mean where I'm from and what nation I'm a citizen of, the good ol' USA would be the answer.
If you mean what background I am, I'm 1/8 French, 1/8 Irish, 1/16 Danish, about 1/2 German, plus English and Welch (I'm not sure how much). And less than 1% Native American (not sure which tribe, and I sure don't look it). I'm also a very distant relative of Mary Todd Lincoln.
Because they say that Oceania doesn´t exist. It is not a continent. But Australia in itself is a continent. Well: a continent and a country.

Regarding Britain I some times "doubt" that. After all they say: "We are not the continent."
And very often the channel seems to be wider than the atlantic.

Flemish is mostly Frankish Germanic (with some Saxon Germanic) in origin. We're related to the Dutch, but they're more Saxon.

I was talking about Flemish as an adjective, not as a language.
But you are completely right. :) The official language here is also Dutch. We just pronounce it differently and there's a minor difference in vocabulary.

off the subject of the poll....
;) I have to applaud...I live near Syracuse, NY...not too far from Rochester. We are UPSTATE NY. NO WHERE NEAR NYC. I just think it's funny cause once we say NY, everyone assumes we're from "the city". NY consists of more than "the city". We have trees and mountains....I've had people from the south point those out to me when I told them I was from NY.....
back to the poll.....
I was born in Korea, moved to the US(dad was USAF), live in NY, I'm half Korean, German, Irish, and Dutch...so whatever nationality you think you could stick me under....lol
