Thorpe beat phelps in a direct match and you still think phelps is better? What else do you need? And its not "VIVA LA AMERICA" it is "U$ ET MORTE - HALLELUJA!"

Phelps crushed himself under pressure. It was clear, look at his face after his loss; look at his face after the relay loss yesterday. It's a shame such a young kid had the weight of America on his shoulders, and for some, he's going to come back to America as a loser. It's a shame.

Besides, my first impression of him was on Saturday when he got that World Record.

Thorpe is the better swimmer on the day, how you did the privious day means very little.

Just be gald the Australian won without cheating like some nations did before drug testing was introduced (ie China & East Germany and few american sprinters).

Oh and a chant you need to learn to really appriciate the olympics......
