Just thought I'd announce it. The board which we couldn't name we can now name as freely as we like! Because it's gone! Clearly, Death Is a Shite realised how pathetic his boards were without me and shut them down. He didn't realise, he may pay the bills, but I AM FUA.

Yes, FUA is dead, because DIAR felt that dk3 had security problems.

Nearly all of the regular posters from FUA, and a few more as well have gone to a new board called Fool's Paradise, administrated by yours truly. Interested parties can tm me for the address.

Oddly, there has been very little flaming, no links to offensive images...hardly anything that has called for moderation. The members are invested in keeping the board a fun, laid back place to be. I think the fact that the users get respect and a voice in moderation decisions doesn't hurt, either. My word is final, because it's my name on the account, but I ask for input often, and I don't abuse my position.

And strangely enough, Seph, if you are FUA, then why were you banned months ago for hacking the site? (Yes, ladies and gentlemen, this happened. It's not a rumor, it's true.) And while you continue to obsess about a community who wanted nothing to do with your behavior, we have all but forgotten you. Your name hasn't even come up in months.

I suggest you find something to do other than try to slander those who wouldn't tolerate your anti-social and possibly illegal behavior.

Well...although flaming Seph has always been a favorite pastime....it seems no amount of curses and vivid imagery could compare to Luna's li'l summation there. lol

I seriously couldn't think of a reason for hacking FUA. Near the end it was getting kinda screwed up anyway, so maybe it was about time for it to go. Fool's Paradise is great though.

I would not announce that if I was you. Itll probably be next on the ban list. I went to FUA once, and never went back. IT is scary there. They reallly hate the mods with a passion. Its so weird.

Well it was mostly people who got screwed over by the mods at one point or another, so I thought it was understandable.

Now I just cant decide if I want to continue on with the Crabecake lineage or if I should choose one of my other favorite online names. Choices choices.

Myrth, you wonder why I always make fun of you and the other sadder (a select few of you actually perform your duties with some form of integrity) excuses for the mods here? It's because you're obviously an 11 year old from Minnesota who got this job by sucking enormous mod cock until you managed to get into the position. Then when they dismounted, you found out that you had finally managed to become a mod as well.

Put simply, FUA was immature and cruel. The players who frequented it had nothing better to do than bitch about NS and its players, even though FUA was supposedly so much better. I visited it several times and was appalled at the level of pettiness and purile behavior exhibited by the vast majority of posters. I was not impressed that the base membership was composed of people deleted or banned on NS.

It did not look like a fun and/or pleasant place to be; indeed I thought it the exact opposite. Even the small amount of flaming displayed in this thread turns me off from your new boards, assuming people much like those who've posted here post on it.

Anyway, that is why I think it's earned the reputation it has. If you're concentrating on making the new one a better place, good for you, but I'll be skipping it myself.

Right, Lithuanighanistania, and your flaming regardless of who it is aimed at is a tenet of righteousness for the FUA and all it holds dear. I'm glad to see that people like you, and countless others, are carrying on the world's ignorance by doing nothing more than trying to bring people down.

I did not like all the flaming of NS. HOWEVER, FUA had its place, because of the severe lack of freedom of speech here. I think Fools' Paradise will be better, because there is no longer any nastiness. Lets hope NS and FP will get along well.

FUA....was a place that was founded by people with a reason to hate, misplaced as it was. Marathon, Beeker, Parratoga....none of them really nice people.

FP... <shrugs> Well, I won't try to convince anyone that it's a great place or anything...though I would say come and see for yourself if you're gonna trash it.

Just to set things straight; FUA is in no way affiliated with the new board that many of the members happen to post at. Is it our fault if our community seems more fun to us than sitting here and watching the mods being childish and celebrating the downfall of another board? I don't recall ever coming onto NS to recruit for either of said boards. If anyone was interested, it was up to them to find out where and how to become a member.

And Tuesday, you forgot to put the '<------Not a Mod' at the bottom of your post. I know you used to get a hard-on from that, so don't forget next time or we might start sucking up to you.

You know, I think it's really sad that this sort of competition is going on. FUA had some issues...there were some people who got really angry about NS. There were others who still enjoyed it, and some who couldn't care less.

Fools Paradise cropped up when FUA died, but there's a lot less of the anger there. Beeker isn't a member, nor is Parratoga. Would everyone enjoy FP? Nope. And I'm not that interested in recruiting a bunch of people, or in convincing people that it's better than NS. It's another board, pure and simple...one with a different attitude and feeling to it. Not everyone would enjoy it, and those that wouldn't, shouldn't join. It's as simple as that.

And people wonder why we take actions against flamers like Marathon.

I've got one question for FUA people, and it's rhetorical because this thread is getting locked for nothing but flaming:

If you don't like it here, why are you still here? One would think you have better things to do with your time than visit a site you think oppresses you.
