What do YOU think of America? For Europeans ONLY!
One day in school, our teacher was talking about European countries who were....Well, I actually forgot what she was rambling about. I actually think that too many history teachers are patriotic. Too much.
Anyway.....
A debate came up during class among us as to how Europeans look at us. So Now Im asking you.
I personally think (since Im Hungarian 100%, but moved with my parents to the U.S. of A.) that America is Euorpe's little brother. It's really young, so it doesn't know what to do. Though they seem like they are doing a good job right now. (Ignoring Iraq and Vietnam)

Yeah, I'm betting a lot will, but maybe not now we've mentioned that we're expecting them to... :D
Anyway, the way they are going, they are going to continue to attack other nations, and whether it is justified or not, it'll continue to anger many people, and they'll eventually either have to play a much reduced (relative to now) role in the world, or become more and more overstretched and vulnerable to other nations/groups. :sniper:

I didn't vote. This poll was for Europeans only, and I honored that.

I'm indifferent. I don't particularly agree with all of your government's decisions, but then I agree with them more than I do my own government's decisions. Raving lunatics in power over here.
I only know three Americans in real life. Just typical people; nothing particularly redeeming or condemning. Ones I know on the Internet seem more arrogant, but that's probably because I get lasting images from the various 'Why America's Great/Crap' threads, rather than what they're ACTUALLY like. For the sake of the saner Americans out there, I generally ignore the ones who think they have a god-given right to invade the entire planet, the ones who declare their culture, way of life and people better than the rest of the world, or think it'd be great to wipe out the entire Middle East or something insane like that. I'm sure Britain had her share of arrogant nutters in her heyday. Still does, actually.
But, I don't judge an entire country till I know every single person who lives there. What's your population now, 300 million? I don't think I'll ever be able to judge your entire country :D.
Oh, and as such I didn't vote. There doesn't seem to be an 'indifferent' or 'I don't judge' option on there.

Gready, just look at what they have in store for us.
Republicans: PNAC (http://www.newamericancentury.org/)
Or the Democrats:
Counterpunch (http://www.counterpunch.org/hand02182004.html)
Progressive Policy Institute (http://www.ppionline.org/ppi_ci.cfm?contentid=252144&subsecid=900020&knlgAreaID=450004)
World leadership
Democrats believe energetic U.S. leadership is integral to shaping a world congenial to our interests and values. World order doesn't emerge spontaneously; it must be organized through collective action by the leading powers, in particular the leading democracies. The main responsibility for global leadership falls on America as first among equals. But our country cannot lead if our leaders will not listen. The surest way to isolate America -- and call into being anti-American coalitions -- is to succumb to the imperial temptation and attempt to impose our will on others. We believe, instead, in renewing our democratic alliances to meet new threats, in progressively enlarging the zone of market democracies by including countries that want to join, and in strengthening and reforming international institutions -- the United Nations, the international financial institutions, the World Trade Organization -- which, for all their obvious flaws, still embody humanity's highest hopes for collective security and cooperative problem-solving.

it's a good thing a lot of us don't vote.
I mean, a lot of people don't care who gets voted in. So they're more likely to vote Bush.
