The Olympics

I have been steady watching the Olympics from the start, alday as long I can stay awake.
First I want to say, Greece did a bangup f*cking job on the opening, the facilities and the main stadium. First rate!!
I missed some the events I wanted to see.
Though here in the states NBC is doing a very good job of coverage using like 6 networks to broadcast it.
I saw the Italian fencer(sabre) win his gold-beautifully done.
The Chinese female volleyball team(not beach) is fabulous.
Every event is just suberb I love watching these people, they the best.
I am glad so many American NBA players opted not to play on the Olympic team(cowards, unworthy to wear the red white and blue) for fear terrorism.
It gives some young people a chance to make a name for them selves, I only wish they had come so they could see the europeans smack a hammer down on them by using team fundamentals rather then NBA showboating(this is the reason the Detroit Pistons won the Championship here, they played as team using fundamentals, like the euro teams still train to do, stars belong in the sky or in the movies not on the court).
Anyway the main reason I am posting this is because it almost brought tears to my eye to watch the parade of nations and see America recieve such a warm welcome, the people of Med have always been able to seperate between a nations people and a nations governemnt, something Western Europeans and Americans need to learn.
The reception for the Iraqis was great, for everyone was wonderful.
I just wanted to say it is nice to see in the heat of competition a little global solidarity.
I tip my hat to the Greeks, and to the outstanding olypiads.
